Critical European Thinking was a seminar series whose main purpose was to offer a biting analysis of the European environment. The discussion focused on the roots and the consequences of the long-lasting economic crisis that has hit Europe. The approach was not limited to the economic interpretation, but suggested socio-political insights as well, since this broader perspective is an essential feature to think and understand critically such a complex topic.

The participation was strongly suggested to all students of Social Sciences, but also open to other scholars. We collected all the related teaching material in order to make them available to a broader public.

This was the second edition of Critical Seminars and is designed and organized by Sebastiano Cattaruzzo and Federico Riccio thanks to the institutional and financial support of the Master of Science in Economics, jointly held by the University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
